Jess Brooks is committed to building sustainable and inclusive economies. As Chief Development Officer at Sunwealth, she helps individuals, foundations and organizations put their money to work in human-centered solar projects delivering clean energy, jobs and savings to diverse communities. Prior to joining Sunwealth, Jess worked at BlueHub Capital, a national community development financial institution (CDFI), where she helped grow assets under management from $60 million to over $1 billion, leveraging over $5 billion in public and private investment in underserved communities nationwide. Jess has previously worked at The New York Times Company, as a trader on Wall Street, and in a large social services nonprofit. An active civic leader, Jess serves on boards of First Teacher and The Carrot Project, and chairs Brown University's Advisory Council on Relations with Tougaloo College, a historically black college in Mississippi. Jess lives in Newton, MA with her partner, two sons and a small flock of chickens. She is a proud Newton Community Farm CSA member and has a grain share with Pioneer Valley Heritage Grain CSA.
