Land & Community
We believe that sustainable farming is the
foundation of healthy communities.
Our New Hampshire lands are leased by the nation’s oldest continually operating community supported agriculture (CSA) farm. The Temple-Wilton Community Farm (TWCF) started in 1986 with three farmers who wanted to have a different relationship with their “customers”. Every spring TWCF members pledge what they can in order to support the operation of this biodynamic farm. The farm is located on Abbot Hill in Wilton, NH next to the High Mowing and Pine Hill Waldorf schools.
Filigreen Farm in northern California supplies the Live Power CSA with a diversity fruit crops and provides a great deal of inspiration for respectful use of water resources. A flowform gracefully moves water from an upper pond to the growing fruit trees. Filigreen farmer Chris Tebutt successfully managed a stream restoration project on the farm’s ½ mile section of Anderson Creek. Good farming practices also protect natural communities – Anderson Creek now supports spawning steelhead.
